Updates:
Friends of Children and Families would like to thank the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the The Glazer Family Foundation for inviting our children to participate in their annual Buc-Packs for Back-to-School Program on August 6th. The children participated in a special distribution event during which school supplies were received. The children were also allowed to view Training Camp practice from a VIP Tent, and to participate in a Junior Training Camp immediately following the morning practice. On October 17th, the children will be attendance when the Bucs face off against the New Orleans Saints.
Welcome to our new board member Suzie McGuffin. Suzie McGuffin has been actively affiliated with First Congregational Chruch of Winter Park and has served on numerous church boards including Chairperson of the Outreach Board, the Capital Campaign committee and Suzie McGuffin helped found the Social Justice service committee, which led to her interest in foster care children. Jacqueline Withers, field education coordinator for social work at the University of Central Florida, has been named Social Worker of the Year by the Florida Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers.
