Our Sponsors Friends of Children and Families Inc., is a licensed provider of the Florida Department of Children and Families. Foster children are referred to our program from the community based care lead agencies. Community-Based Care is the state of Florida's child welfare initiative. This initiative transfers public child welfare services to the private sector. In response to this initiative, a group of area child welfare service providers came together to form community based lead agencies. Here are some of the agencies that we are working with to “provide the best services to their children in our care”:
